KUALA LUMPUR: Naza Prestige Bikes Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Naza Group of Companies, has been appointed sole distributor for Harley-Davidson motorcycles in Malaysia.
Naza group executive chairman and chief executive officer S.M. Nasarudin S.M. Nasimuddin said the company was targeting to sell 150 units by year-end.
“Today marks a milestone for Naza as we celebrate the arrival of the ultimate motorcycle brand into the family,” he said before the signing of the distribution agreement between Naza Prestige Bikes and Harley-Davidson yesterday.
Nasarudin said the company was confident of achieving its sales target despite the hike in petrol prices.
“The motorcycles are targeted at a niche market,” he said, adding that purchasers were drawn to the bikes because of the brand and would not be influenced by fuel costs.
