Nasi Lemak Tangling "vs" Rear Break Pad

Hi guys....
At last the weather was so kind last Sunday permits me to ride with Dato' Sulaiman and Faiz. As usuall, Cik Fara will be my pilion..... hehehe....
After 3 weeks the bike stranded because of rain, at last FLTCUI blow it pipe with only one attempt.....good.... Finished one stick of LM, i sat on the FLTCUI and start to ride around the block purposely to test the bike.
Soon after the tyre roll few meters i slowly press the rear break to check its effeciency. Bad news, the brake was empty and at the same time i heard some weird sound from the back.
Turun sekejap, have a look, and i found out that the break pad was slipped from the calliper...... phewww..... nasib baik test, break pad tinggal 2mm tebal.....
pasal dah lama tak ride, dah janji plak dengan Dato and Faiz, i told Cik Fara, lets slowly ride the bike and we can still use the front break.....
Quite risky, but we managed to go to Tangling and had a good riding on Sunday......

Ayu...... angkat jemuran......... HUJAN dah turun......

Yo Bro!!!
Hujanlah bro...... argghhhh!!!!
Hehehehe..... hi people. Raining season back to the peninsular. The most unwelcome season for biker lately dah menganas. Last week projek 'Batu Keras' gagal, again due to heavy rain. Pity Bro Fizan "bambinos". hehehehe......
Anyway, raining shouldn't stop you from ride. Sometimes there is a need for you to start your bike during these raining days..... heheheheh.... just imagine if one day you are in a ride trip to Penang or Phuket. And in the middle of the journey, theres rain..... r u goin to stop and wait? Yo bro, no way...... journey must go on (provided its safe condition).....
Here are some tips to share on what you should do or prepare to ride in a raining day.......
Gear - In an ideal situation, you'll have invested in some all weather riding gear including waterproof boots and if that's the case then good for you! The minimum investment you should have on hand when it comes to rain gear is waterproof gloves that fasten securely around your wrist. Not only do gloves keep your hands dry during a rainstorm, but they'll also help keep them warm too. Another option is purchasing a rain suit to wear over your leathers if you don't have all weather gear. Waterproof your boots prior to riding in the rain as an extra precaution. However if you still don't want to spend a few extra dollars on a rain suit and waterproofing boot spray, then another, albeit low-cost option is to wear a couple of large trash bags over your clothing and plastic grocery bags inside your boots wrapped around your socks to help with rain-proofing yourself. Riding in the rain is not fun, but it's even worse if you get soaked.

Tires - Tires with a good tread pattern on them are the safest type to use when it's raining. This is because, there's more rubber to grip the slippery road. Still, even with decent tread on the tires, pushing your two-wheeler to the limits in the rain, be it a drizzle or a downpour, is not advised unless you want to hydroplane or worse yet, lay your bike down in front of oncoming traffic.

Wait - Oil and grease on the road tends to loosen up and sit on the surface during the start of the rain, so allow a solid 15 minutes or so for cars to splash the excess muck off onto the side of the street. Otherwise, you're just asking for trouble!

Avoidances - Steer clear of the painted lines on streets and hi-ways because they become extremely slick when wet. Common sense should encourage you to ride in the path of the tire trails left by vehicles in front of you since it will be the area on the road with the least amount of water on it. Manhole covers and railroad tracks are very slick when wet too. Avoid them if at all possible, but if you must cross over them, heed with caution keeping a steady throttle.

Visor Care - To help eliminate rain from building up on your visor and impairing your vision, there are a few products on the market you can apply prior to riding such as Rain-X. This product and products like it encourage the water to roll and bounce right off of the visor. Your visor may also indeed become foggy while riding in the rain and although there are products on the market to help prevent that too, just cracking your visor open a smidge every now and again will help quickly eliminate this problem.

Though motorcycle riders generally avoid riding in the rain at all costs for obvious reasons, there is still that rare occasion that may sneak up on you and leave you in a compromising situation. Be prepared and alert so that you'll still be around to ride on future dry weather days as well!

Ride with the HEROs

"9W2ROI, 9W2MCC calling and standing by...... "
(Nine Whiskey Two Romeo Oscar India.... Nine Whiskey Two Mike Charlie Charlie calling and standing by......")

A call from 9W2MCC or Bang Omar last nite at MARES frequency - 145.650 to joined QSO (conversation) between me and 9W2JAZ (Jazrin) was unexpected. It was fruitfull conversation and lots of knowledge being transfer from him to me especially on the technical side of the amature radio besides at the same time i was busy preparing the "Project Kayo" proposal.

Me, as usuall can't focus much on the technical thinggy especially when the time is at 2.30am, was trying to change some other topic in order to make me wake up. Being a so claimed 1% biker, i cannot run from motorcycle matter.

Inspired by OCC (Orange County Chopper) "Fireman Bike", i ask Bang Omar either i can visit his fire station with some bikers frens. He sounded happy and gimme all the details, whom to contact and bla... bla... bla.....

Ride with the HEROs

Today, i will be meeting Bro Fizan "Bambinos" and Bro Lin "Duke" to propose this ride.

Basically, what is in my mind are - we will ride to the fire station (hopefully Putrajaya HQ), pay them a visit and a high tea session, look at their gadgets and fire engine (jakun since small kid).... get to know some of their work and hopefully take lots of photo with them......

May be i'm considering to invite more HD owner to join in or the orphanage kid. See how, first thing first..... get the keen concern from the High Concil!!

RIDE Plan - Why it is important

Planning your ride is very important. A good ride planning will ensure a smooth ride especially when riding in group.

Though the Ride Planner has several functions, the main feature is its ability to create a complete Ride Plan with maps and directions.

Your Plan begins with your choice of a starting point and destination. Once these are chosen, your route is mapped on the most direct roads between these points.

You can customize your Plan by adding stops along your route. You can choose stops at a custom address, a location (such as a Harley-Davidson Dealership) or an event by selecting the appropriate tab on the Ride Plan Overview page. Further customize your Plan by changing the roads used along any segment of your route. Select the CHANGE ROADS tab from the Ride Plan Overview page, Segment Details page or

Stop Details page and select the segment you wish to modify. If you have a Harley-Davidson profile you can use it to save your Plan for future reference or updates; you will have the opportunity to create a profile if you do not already have one. Saving a Plan will also enable you to share your Plan with other people.

RIDE.......

Reason to RIDE:

Why do people ride? It's almost impossible to explain. Because there are roads and distant towns. Because we share a sense of adventure. Because we have the freedom to do it.There are also practical reasons we ride motorcycles.
For the commuter, motorcycles receive freeway access benefits, get great fuel mileage and are easy to park. For the touring rider, motorcycles bring you into the world instead of enclosing you from it. Others enjoy the challenge of riding, leaning into turns and feeling the motor beneath them. Motorcyclists connect with other riders in a way that goes beyond mere transportation, which is why many riders attend events and rallies.
  • Reason to ride HARLEY-DAVIDSON
Functionally, a Harley-Davidson® motorcycle is transportation. But mechanically, it is an object of raw beauty that can be customized to fit any rider.

It's no coincidence that Harley riders are as passionate about their bike as the ride itself. The flowing curves of the fenders, the smooth lines of the fuel tank, the piercing reflections from perfect chrome, the visual muscle of a big V-Twin engine - these are what set Harley-Davidson motorcycles apart from all others.

And, of course, the sound. No other motorcycle has the same heart pounding, pavement-thumping sound as the venerable Harley® V-Twin. It's a sound that's spanned generations, and it's as distinct as the people who ride.
